The Jaivagram initiative is a cornerstone of the Community Development Initiative, aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture across Kerala. This program provides farmers with essential farming inputs such as bio-fertilizers, pesticides, and other organic products, along with agricultural tools like ploughs, weed cutters, and pumps. By equipping farmers with these resources, Jaivagram helps enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. Through the formation of farmer clusters, Jaivagram ensures that farmers can achieve maximum prices for their products. These clusters facilitate better market access and collective bargaining, empowering farmers economically. To date, the program has distributed 210,000 tonnes of organic inputs and thousands of agricultural tools, significantly boosting the agricultural capacity of the region. The widespread use of organic inputs has led to notable improvements in soil health and water quality in areas surrounding agricultural lands. By reducing the reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, Jaivagram supports a healthier ecosystem and promotes long-term agricultural sustainability. Implemented through our associated NGOs, Jaivagram exemplifies our commitment to fostering sustainable farming practices and enhancing the livelihoods of farmers. This initiative not only contributes to environmental conservation but also ensures that farming remains a viable and rewarding occupation for future generations.
