The National NGO’s Confederation proudly presents the Community Development Initiative (CDI), a transformative program designed to uplift communities by equipping individuals with essential skills and opportunities for sustainable livelihoods. Through our extensive network of affiliated NGOs, known as Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs), we identify areas where intervention is most needed and pinpoint beneficiaries who can benefit from skill development. We provide comprehensive support to our PIAs to distribute toolkits and deliver targeted training programs, ensuring that beneficiaries gain practical skills that are in demand. Post-training, we assist in setting up job clusters where trained individuals can find employment, fostering a supportive community environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.
Key projects under CDI include Women on Wheels, empowering women through driving skills; Jaiva Gramam, promoting organic farming; Apparel Cluster, training individuals in garment manufacturing; and Digital Gramam, enhancing digital literacy and providing IT-related job opportunities. These initiatives are tailored to the specific needs of the community, ensuring sustainable and impactful outcomes.Using bulk discounts, private donations and marketing funds of various companies we make the toolkits affordable for the individuals. Since its inception, the Community Development Initiative has touched the lives of nearly 400,000 individuals across the country. By fostering skill development and creating job opportunities, we are not only improving individual livelihoods but also contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the communities we serve. This large-scale impact underscores our commitment to empowering lives and building a sustainable future for all.
