The Confederation held its Kottayam district meeting on 26th November 2023. The meeting was attended by the representatives of 600 affiliated organisations from the district. The meeting was presided over by Sri. KN Anandakumar, the Chairman of the Confederation. The meeting was inaugurated online by Sri. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, the former Minister of Internal Affairs and the MLA of Kottayam.
The meeting included a district-level representative assembly of the affiliated organisations, and a youth task force formation. The meeting also discussed the various activities and programs of the Confederation in the district, such as the Digital Transformation Program, the Community Development Initiative, and the Youth Summit on Digital Transformation and Social Service.
The meeting was also graced by Sri. George Kulangara, the Kottayam District Collector and the Chairman of Labour India Foundation, Smt. Nisha Snehakoodu, the State Coordinator of the Confederation, Smt. Sheeba Suresh, the Idukki District Secretary of the Confederation, Sri. Mathew KM, the Kottayam District President of the Confederation, and the district office bearers of the Confederation, such as Smt. Thankamma Jawahar Society Vaikom, Sri. C Ani Maria Assisi Kanjirappally, Hamsa, Paulson Kottarathil Archana Women Center, Smitha Yuvarakshmi Club, Jose Prakash Orum Neeloor, and others.
Another guest of the meeting was Sri. Anandhu Krishnan, the National Coordinator of the Confederation. He talked about the potential and impact of the Digital Transformation Program and the Community Development Initiative, which is the flagship initiatives of the Confederation. He also explained how the students can benefit from these programs and how they can contribute to them.
The Confederation is an independent national federation of the affiliated NGOs in India. The Confederation was founded under the leadership of Sri. KN Anandakumar, the Executive Director of Sathyasai Orphanage Trust, the largest NGO in Kerala.
The Confederation has the most organised district-level structure in Kerala in Kottayam district. The Confederation aims to bring together the NGOs from all over the state and the country under a common platform, and to work for the development and welfare of the people and the society.
