National NGO Confederation Distributes Two-Wheelers to Women in Malappuram District

The National NGO Confederation, in collaboration with Professional Services Innovations and Warrior Foundation as the project implementation agency, organized an event at Mazhuvannoor Kaivalya Event Center to distribute two-wheelers to 142 women. The event included documentation work, token distribution for vehicle collection from dealers, and safety driving awareness programs.The event was attended by National NGO Confederation Board Members Dr. Beena Sebastian, Mr. Prasad Vasudev, Warrior Foundation Trust’s Mr. Madhav Warrier, Convener Mr. Aniyan P. John, and Motor Vehicle Inspector Mr. Praveenkumar.The initiative aims to alleviate travel difficulties faced by women as part of the Happiness Index Indicator. The project has been reinitiated after resolving technical issues in its implementation.
The project is funded through public donations collected by over 170 voluntary organizations in Kerala, beneficiary contributions covering 50% of the total cost, bulk purchase discounts from companies, dealer commissions, and marketing and branding funds from companies.
The project involves distributing two-wheelers to women, forming local clusters, and providing ongoing support and services. Registration for applications received after February 2024 has already commenced.
